I am about to do essentially the same thing that you are attempting. I was wondering if my status as USC (+PIO) would disallow me from opening a consulting firm in India. Do you have any information on that?

I'll work as independent consultant from India. I am USC/PIO and will apply for OCI when I arrive in India. I am looking for advise from gurus in this forum especially those who have gone through the same process I am about to go through.
