Hi
I would like to consider working in US for 6 months a year & taking break in India for rest of the year for few years. The reason being I would like to spend time with my kids and help in studies and also pursue personal interests .Has anyone done this? I heard the Federal jobs/ Defense consulting jobs pay well. If anyone has tried this route it would be really helpful if you give some info. This kind of jobs will require security clearance which I do not have yet.

Federal jobs are good - but where did you get the info that you can work seasonally for such jobs. Seasonal jobs are mostly in Parks, Race tracks and such - but they don't pay that well. Besides, parks jobs (particularly national parks ) are hard to come by - since they are really great jobs.
