USC, R2I 4 years back. Is eligible to buy agricultural land in Tamil Nadu as "resident" ?

Any pointers/links if already discussed ?

Legally speaking, foreign nationals even with OCI cannot purchase agricultural land.

But then, this is India, given the right set of circumstances, anything is possible.
