Such was the secrecy surrounding the raid that kanimozhi did not even have knowledge of the same when questioned and again repeated they (her family) had nothing to hide. CBI is conducting the raid because SC directed them to investigate 2G scam. We can not expect court to start investigations for all scams. CBI should have done this 2 years back when 2G scam was reported. They are still dancing to the tune of the ruling party. In this case Cong is sandwiched between Opposition stalling the Parliament and SC ordering the CBI to investigate. Send flowers to SC which has woken up after a long slumber although it is not the job of the court to order raids.

I can understand your feelings. However I dont understand the policy of these CBI raids. Most of the time they raid after weeks or months of the incident became public that too only when there is a compelling political or legal reason to it. I am not sure why any one would keep anything they dont want the authorities to see at their places after the incident become public.

In my opinion CBI just like all other police institutions is a tool to who ever is in power. I think this is a serious flaw in the constitution which everyone recognises and promise to fix but never will. If only it is as independent as judiciary then we can expect something. I am sure there are still a lot of respectable officers in police institutions.

I think if anything it is a sign that congress is going with Jayalalita next time in my opinion.
