R2A and health insurance Question

When one is LIA, s/he would use the employer supported health insurance, go through new illnesses, etc., and would be adequately covered by that insurance.
When doing R2I later, this insurance coverage would be discontinued.
Thereafter, after LII for a few years, if s/he returns to LIA, s/he would again take new health insurance coverage from the new employer.
My question is, could that insurance firm then not cover for those old illnesses citing them as pre-existing conditions?

Group insurances are "group" insurances, they insure the group regardless of pre-condition or not. If you buy personal health insurance then they have clause for pre-conditions but not in group insurance.

I did not think of it from the 'group' angle, but it is a good angle.
Still, one may be covered as a group, but individuals in the group may be denied SOME of the treatments for their own pre-existing conditions??

It depends on the vendor of that insurance and what the agreement is. If you get a job in US and the employer offers you medical insurance, then you have to call that insurance company and find out if they have a preexisting condition limitation. Some employers I have worked in the past have excellent plans which do not care about any pre-existing conditions. Some might have.
