EKU prepares to host Ellis visitation, funeralNovember 10, 2015 36Pab, RICHMOND, Ky. 鈥?Thousands from across Kentucky and beyond are expected to arrive at Eastern Kentucky Universitys Alumni Coliseum on Tuesday, Nov. 10, and Wednesday, Nov. 11, to pay their final respects to Daniel Neil Ellis, the Richmond police officer who lost his life stanley tumbler in the line of duty last week.Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. today Tuesday, Nov. 10 at the Coliseum, with funeral services at the same site at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11. General parking will be available in the Alumni Coliseum lot Tuesday, and those attending the visitation should enter the Coliseum through the lower-level stanley cup entrance on the west side near the water tower.The general public is welcome to attend the funeral service on Wednesday. Alumni Coliseum seats approximately 7,000, and the EKU Center for the Arts, across the Eastern By-Pass from the Coliseum, will serve as an overflow area, with an additional 2,000 seats. A live video stream will be available at the arts center. General parking on Wednesday will be available at the Center for the Arts, with pedestrian access to the Coliseum. CNN 鈥?Nearly 30,000 Macs worldwide have been infected with mysterious malware, according to researchers at security firm聽Red Canary.The issue was somewhat confounding to stanley isolierkanne Red Canary researchers, who said its not clear what the malwares goal is. In a blog post, the firm said it聽did not observe the malware delivering malicious payloads 鈥?essentially, harmful actions against a device.The malware, which the company calls Silver Sparrow, does not exhibit the behaviors that weve come to expect from the usual adware that so often targets macOS systems, Tony Lambert, an intelligence analyst at Red Canary wrote.Silver Sparrow includes a self-destruct mechanism that appears to have not been used, researcher stanley sverige s said, adding that its unclear what would trigger that function. They are also uncertain of how the malware got onto infected computers, though they believe it may have been through malicious search results.The researchers found that Silver Sparrow contains code that runs natively on Apples聽in-house M1 chip聽that was released in November, making only the second known malware to do so.
