Professional Resume Services
what I coincidence! I have been wondering the same for a while.
I did post this question on the MSN forum a while back but did not get any satisfactory responses.
There are a few high volume ones out there, paired with companies like monster, careerbuilder etc.
I've been doing my own research on this and have come to realize that no one is hands down better than the other. I mean similar rates, similar services, all of them boast CPRW certified writers etc. Since all these writers work from home via phone and email, who knows if the same writers may be working for all these different companies at the same time?
At the end of the day my main concern is, which of these will make the most effort in pairing me with a writer who really has some knowledge about what I do, where I want go career wise.
I mean I don't want to be paired with some ex school teacher who used to teach grammar in high school, has good writing skills and all that, but has zero knowledge about the IT industry and what IT recruiters look for and what an IT job seeker's resume should look like.
Anyway I have have shortlisted two:
1. ResumeEdge.com
2. Resumewriters.com
I am yet to decide.
Hope this helps!

I used a two professional services, one was from Monster and second was a professsional writter recommended by a friend.
The Monster was free but for the other one I paid $300.
1. It is diffcult (or impossible) to get writer who understands technology or technical terms.
2. The biggest value they provide is in formatting and using gramatically correct english.
I finally wrote my own resume.

I used Monster. They charged 299 for Res and cover Letter. Its good but still you need to fine tune it with your specifics. They give you an intial questionare and you need to fill with your info. You need to give them
as much info as possible during this stage.I got the intial draft in 3 days.
Overall the writer was knowledgeable and you can ask them to do corrections any number of times.

would you by any chance have that questionnaire lying around somewhere on your hard drive? Could you share it with us?
Thanks.
