Hi Friends,
Its been 4 years I have been suffering from nasal allergies/Nasal congestion. I have gone through DNS as well but in vain.
Please suggest me any doctor who has ability to treat allergies.
My quality of life is very poor and cannot concentrate anywhere.
Thanks in advance for your co operation.

Have you tried doing "neti" routine (sometimes referred to as "jal neti") that is recommended in yoga for nasal cleansing? I have been doing it for a few years now and it has helped me keep nasal congestion at minimum.

Did you try it when you were congested? Perhaps you can start when you don't have congestion and keep doing it every day. Make sure you add some salt to the water since salt acts as a disinfectant. Also, using lukewarm water seems to work better for me.
Nasal allegies
I have suffered from nasal congestion for several years and a whole host of associated problems - frequent headaches, cold and cough ; drowsiness thru the day particularly in the mornings etc. I got DNS surgery done twice, both from highly reputed doctors, but of no use.
Yoga has given me substantial relief in the last two years. My nasal congestion itself has not cured completely - its down only about 40-50%. I make do with nasal drops when the block gets acute. Also, I take some precuatiuons like only drink warm water and dont eat anything thats not hot.
I do "shambavi mahamudra" every morning. I learnt it in the Inner engineering programme at Isha.It includes Surya Namaskar, Pranayam, AUM chanting etc. Takes about 35-40 minutes.
All other problems that accompanied nasal block have more or less cured. I used to wake up with a heavy head every morning which would persist for a few hours atelast- thats gone. Used to feel drowsy through the day - I feel energetic enabling me to be active thru the day. Frequency of cold, cough and headache has reduced by 80-90%. Though I still have the physical block, problem is now contained to just that. My quality of life has improved substantially.

For allergy with runny nose and watery eyes symptoms, I treat them using antihistamine tablets. I brought some (Zyrtec) with me from the US. There should be a equivalent of that in India, but I'm not aware.
