Furniture: Easy chair - shop recommendation

Post by ubayogi »

I want to buy my dad an easy chair. Old wooden types preferred. Last choice are the metal tube ones. What's a good place to look for these in Chennai?

Checked few online listings:

  • Ones I like are super pricey at ~35k. Budget is 10k.
  • Also, hesitant to buy online without a chance to check comfort and build quality.

I bought one for my dad from Pepperfry. He really likes it. Sturdy, all wood, and looks great. It said original price was Rs44k, and sale price was Rs23k. It is probably worth just that much, I dont know the store prices. There were none in a traditional store I visited. There is a Studio Pepperfry very close to my house in Bengaluru. We could have gone there to see/try it. Dad was happy with his selection and the online pics, so I did not visit the studio. I see that there is one in Chennai as well. Maybe that is an option.
