US technology firm Parker-Hannifin is to divest its wheel and brake operation to aerospace company Kaman, to meet the requirements of competition stanley official website regulators following its decision to acquire UK-based Meggitt.Kaman says it will be acquiring the Aircraft Wheel Brake business for $440 million in an all-cash transaction.The European Commission had approved Parkers proposed 拢6.3 billion $7.9 billion acquisition of Meggitt earlier this year, with conditions including the sale of the Ohio-based wheel and brake division 鈥?a commitment which had been offered by Parker.This division produces systems and associated hydraulics for a range of business aircraft, helicopters, military aircraft and general aviation. Versant is asking for another distribution rate hike in the wake of two recent increases, but if approved it wouldnt take effect until at least 2025.In March, Versant Power will ask to increase its di stanley nz stribution revenue by $35.5 million a year, according to a notice of intent to the Maine Public Utilities Commissionsubmitted on Dec. 29.If approved, it will result in about a $13 increase per month for the average residential customer, Public Advocate William Harwoods office said. That follows two increases, on July 1, 2023, and Jan. 1, 2024,respectively, that led to about a combined $10 monthly increase to average residential bills.The July 1 and Jan. 1 increases added $30 million in annual distribution revenue for the power company.Versants request came days after 97,000 customers lost power during a wind and rain storm on Dec. 18, 2023.
